I’m Kaitlyn, fellow female entrepreurer, doula, and birth photographer-videographer. I’m here for you – because running a business is hard work, and hard work is best done with help and support.

I’ve spent the past 6 years of business learning the power of branding, meaningful copywriting, SEO, networking, and giving back to the community. I’ve hosted (many) mock births to give powerful visuals and meaningful mentoring to my fellow doulas, birth photographers, and birth workers, as well as worked with a handful of incredible small business owners (therapists, dance studios, schools, and more!). I’m here for you (because doulas – and all of us small business peoples! – need support, too)!

Mock Birth Branding Sessions

I’ll document you in a mock birth center or home birth (and/or prenatal/postpartum) environment – the perfect recipe to get curated, planned, purposeful images and video of you supporting parents.

Work outside of birth? Lifestyle branding sessions are customized to you and your brand needs; reach out for more info!

Headshots

Classic, but critical in connecting with your potential clients. Often included with a branding session (mock birth or lifestyle), but also offered as studio or outdoor mini sessions 1-2 times/year.

Hourly Birth Documentation

Bring me to one of your clients’ births so we can get real, emotive images and video of you working in the birth space.

I go on call with you, and come to the birth for 1-6 hours. Your clients can upgrade to full birth coverage (making birth photography accessible to them, too!).

Mentoring

For new or aspiring birth photographers, or entrepreneurs seeking marketing support.

Mock Birth

Curated (and planned) images and video of you working, including your choice of: prenatal support, labor support, postpartum support, and/or headshots. Scheduled 2-3 times/year in a mock home birth or birth center space.

Includes commercial usage rights for your marketing, and a pre-session consultation to discuss what to wear and which client(s) to invite.

Hourly Birth

$125/hr

To get real life, powerful images and video of you working in the birth space. I’ll come on call with you, and attend the birth for 1-6 hours with you (you call me when you want me!).

NEW off-call option: I’ll be available to attend one birth within my off-call hours (5 PM-5 AM) over a 4 week period.

On-call fee: $800

Branding Photography FAQs

Professional branding photography isn’t a need for every business; some brands find that selfies work great for headshots, stock images do just fine, and that their clients hire birth photographers that get images with them in it as much as they want and need to get as much business as they want right now.

That being said, families notice when you’ve invested in purposeful, personalized, and quality images and video, and that can make a drastic difference in the perceived value of your brand; if you’re looking to grow your business, raise your prices, stand out in a saturated market, and/or uplevel your brand, branding photography is a MUST!

Absolutely! I’ll help you find models to stand in as clients for your mock birth. (Side note: I have a LOT of doulas find mock births to be a great way to jump back in to working again (or jump in for the first time) – in addition to getting beautiful images of you working, mock births also give you space to practice.)

IMO, yes, a headshot is a MUST – especially for doulas and birth workers. Families are looking for someone they can trust, and being able to “look you in the eye” – even virtually – can be a powerful way for you to connect with them, long before your first consult or meet-and-greet. I’ll help you “see” your clients on the other side of the camera, so it’s not a black box you’re staring awkwardly at!

If your client ends up going back for a c-section, you still are going to support them, right? I’ll still be there, to document whatever (invaluable) support you’re giving them – even if that’s outside of the OR. If your client births before I (or you) get there, I’ll also often still go to document the support you give them postpartum – these are some of the sweetest moments between a doula and their client, and well worth documenting!

That being said, if those are not things you want documented to represent your brand, we’ll often have a backup birth I can attend (especially if you’re hiring me off-call).
