Why You Should Choose to Have Your Next Session in Your Home
It hits me HARD at the same time, every time. It’s always just after gathered all my things, said my copious goodbyes to my new (or old) friends, and walked out the front door. “MAN, I LOVE DOING THAT,” I think to myself, with the biggest smile on my face. I do a little skip-hop, put my things in the car and drive home, still reveling in the beauty of it all.
What is it that I LOVE SO MUCH? It’s those IN-HOME SESSIONS! Sure, you can have your newborn, family, or maternity sessions outside your home, but there’s something about your family in your space that feels so authentic, unique, intimate, and beautiful.
Seriously. Everything that I aspire to infuse into my images just comes so much easier in an in-home session- authenticity to your real, beautiful motherhood, love, and family. Genuine, natural smiles. An abundance of that snuggled, close, intimate feeling. It’s rich. Radiant. Beautiful. And WORTH IT.
Not that I don’t get those feelings in my sessions outside of the home – I do. It just comes easier in your home. Maybe that’s because your kids just feel more comfortable and slide right into being themselves cause they feel at home. Maybe it’s because your home is a reflection of who you are, and that lends extra power to those images. Maybe it’s because you haven’t had to stress over getting allll of your kids (with shoes. and an extra change of clothes. And every other reinforcement.) into the car before we lost all the sunlight – cause all the shoes and extra clothes and diapers and underwear and snacks and even the bathroom are all right there, just in case. Maybe it’s because neither of us had to worry about the weather or bringing coats if it’s too cold for the littles – cause it’s inside! Whatever it is, it’s MAGIC and I LOVEE IT.
If that gives you all the feels, by ALL means, reach out so that we can create some of that in-home magic together!! If you’re unsure whether this is for you, I’ve got another post on why you might not choose an in-home session – check it out here! 🙂
